Gervase Caycedo Kolmos Wedding
There was a point during our wedding on Sept 4th, 2010 at the S.C. Aquarium, where I looked up from my spot on the center of the dance floor and saw bodies jumping up and down and dancing as far as I could see. There was no spot on the dance floor open, it was just packed with people dancing, all smiles! If empty chairs at a wedding is an indication of the quality of a DJ, then our DJ, DJ Saturdave of Crescendo Entertainment, was amazing! All 200 chairs were empty for most of the night! It is hard to find a DJ who understands the delicate nuances of a wedding: that it is important (and tricky) to please both mom and dad and have an elegant and seamless musical flow to the night, but that it’s also possible to throw down (with turntables, no less!) and get the party started. This is what Crescendo Entertainment did for us. We gave Dave our top song choices, and told him there would need to be Latin music (half my family is Colombian) and he did all the homework, finding songs for us and presenting them at several meetings. He was full of ideas and suggestions. The day of, he watched the crowd and kept them on their feet (no cheesy music, no obnoxious emceeing, either). He was as hands-on as we wanted him to be and he worked great with our day-of coordinator.
Dave also always made time to meet with us and listen to our concerns and ideas. One other thing worth noting is that he helped us collaborate on a first dance mix. We started slow and surprised the guests and broke out into a funny dance, and Dave, without us asking, made us three different versions of this mix for practice. He was accommodating, personable, understanding and very knowledgeable of the types of music out there. Overall, we could not have been happier with our DJ choice and would highly recommend Crescendo Entertainment to anyone; whatever your style, Dave will know how to accommodate.
